Ideal for a company culture that is particular about colors, with intermediate colors as envisioned.
Rokkatei, known for its popular souvenirs from Hokkaido such as "Marusei Butter Sand," "White Chocolate," and the packaging designed with "Tokachi Rokka," was founded in 1933 in Obihiro City. Currently, in addition to its 66 directly operated stores in the region, it also manages a garden called "Rokka no Mori," inspired by the wildflowers on its packaging, as well as an art museum.
[Issues]
- Considering the introduction of a new model due to the discontinuation of a long-used model.
- Wanting to express a challenging design that heavily utilizes intermediate colors such as green, purple, and yellow.
- Often taking time to create designs, with printing rushed just before the exhibition starts.
[Results]
- Intermediate colors are vividly and naturally rendered, closely resembling the original artwork, receiving positive feedback from customers.
- No drying time is needed after printing, allowing for immediate rolling and transition to installation work without waiting.
- Prototypes of product packaging can now be produced in-house, enabling quick checks and revisions of detailed designs.
